Book One of The Keeper's Canticle
When disgraced archivist Oliver Ward flees Sacramento after accidentally bankrupting half the city with a badly executed script, his only escape is a mysterious lighthouse keeper position on Tidestone Isle. But the Azure Spire isn't just any lighthouse, it runs on pre-Fall magic, and Ollie is about to discover that some systems can't be debugged with logic alone.
Haunted by the specter of his catastrophic failure, Ollie arrives at the windswept island expecting isolation and redemption. Instead, he encounters a lighthouse fueled by an ancient Starlight Lens, stairs that sometimes behave unpredictably, mysterious notes from the last keeper who simply abandoned his post, and two downright uncanny tower mascots. Then, there's the ghost...
As fog rolls in and the lighthouse beam cuts through mysteries deeper than the surrounding sea, Ollie must learn to trust in magic he doesn't understand or risk losing himself to the very chaos he's spent his life trying to control.
Toby 'Shane' Crosby spends his days protecting the digital world as a cybersecurity engineer and his nights building fantasy ones. He is the author of the Fantasy series, The Keeper's Canticle.
Their home is joyfully chaotic thanks to a clowder of Ragdoll cats and two giant, lovable Newfoundlands. Shane and his wife enjoys travelling to attend concerts and hanging out on the beach with the family.
Currently you won't find Shane hanging out on social media. You can catch all his latest news and book releases by visiting www.tscrosby.com.
